Nicolas Cage`s new movie is a tribute to horror legend
The actor, who has paranormal action movie `Season Of the Witch` in cinemas from this weekend, thinks it is a tribute to Christopher, who has a role in the film.
Nicolas told Upbeat Productions: "I`ve been doing this for 30 years now and I`m trying to find new ways of expressing myself and somewhere along this road I decided that I wanted to celebrate actors like Christopher Lee and Vincent Price and make movies that are dealing with the paranormal."
"I find it an interesting subject matter and those are the types of movies that I like to watch personally so for me this is a very sincere offering."
When asked if he believes that witches really exist the 47-year-old mused: "I think that anything is possible, why not?"
In Season of The Witch, Nicolas plays Behmen, a 14th-century knight given the task of transporting a suspected witch to a monastery where monks deduce her powers could be the source of the Black Plague.
The Oscar-winning star recently confessed it was a life-long dream to play a knight in a movie.
He said: "The idea of playing a knight was something that I had been doing, ever since I was a child, in my backyard, so this gave me a chance to do it, as a child`s dream come true."
